ADULT WORKSHOPS FOR AUTUMN 2011

SPEND A LOVELY RELAXING,INFORMATIVE & UNINTERRUPTED DAY LEARNING HOW TO MAKE SOMETHING UNIQUE

 

Saturday 29th October

Beginners' one-day workshop

Learn how to make a lined tote bag and matching zipped purse

This is a workshop where you learn how to use a sewing machine and actually make something to take home!

You will have hands on tuition in a small group, learning how to make a lining for the bag as well as patchpockets, straps and to put a zip in.  Armed with these techniques you will have the basic knowledge to allow you to start creating with your sewing machine at home.

A light lunch is included as well as bountiful supplies of tea or coffee plus a delicious homemade cream tea...what more could you ask for?

10am - 4pm

all fabric supplies, equipment and use of a sewing machine will be provided

 

Sunday 11th December

Beginners' half-day workshop

An introduction to patchwork 

12.30pm – 4.30pm

£60.00

This is a must for all those who love the idea of patchwork but haven't a clue where to start!  We will take you through the basics including how to cut out accurately and create simple designs with your sewing machine.  Also we will learn how to back your design with wadding and machine quilt your patchwork together.

use your body measuremeasures to get the right size

identify the right pattern pieces

lay out the pattern pieces correctly on chosen fabric
